Crazy good matcha in Manila

We are not going to tell you we make the best matcha in Manila. We do something more useful: we get the people who might into one room, on the same weekend, so you can taste four or five of them back to back and decide for yourself.

The honest answer to “where is the best matcha in Manila” is that it moves. The best matcha in this city is usually a small independent brand with one bar, a market stall, or nothing but a delivery page, and the good ones do not stay still. That is exactly what a pop-up is for.

At every Matcha Social weekend the floor is built around matcha: independent makers whisking on the spot, hot and iced, each with the blends and flavours they are known for. You can taste across several brands in one afternoon, which is not something a single cafe visit can give you.

The line-up changes from stop to stop, which is the point: the October encore at Forbes Town is not a rerun of September. Entry is free at every weekend, so the only cost is what you decide to drink or bring home. Every date is below.

The questions
we get most.

Where can I get good matcha in Manila?

The most efficient way to find matcha you actually love is to taste several in one place. Cabana Club’s Matcha Social weekends put Metro Manila’s independent matcha makers on one floor in BGC, San Juan and Mandaluyong, free to walk into. The 2026 dates are on this page.

Who has the best matcha in Manila?

We do not name a winner, and we would be suspicious of anyone who did: matcha is a taste, not a ranking. What we can do is put a floor of serious independent makers in front of you on one afternoon so you can judge it properly.

How much does the matcha cost at the pop-ups?

Each maker sets and keeps their own prices, so it varies by brand and by drink. Entry to the pop-up itself is always free, so you can walk the whole floor and look before you order anything.

Do I need a ticket to try the matcha?

No. There is no ticket and no RSVP for any Cabana Club weekend. Come during event hours, taste what you like, and pay the makers directly.

Is there a matcha event near me in Metro Manila?

Between September and November 2026 the tour reaches Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, San Juan, and Greenfield District in Mandaluyong, which puts a stop within reach of Makati, Ortigas, Pasig, Quezon City and most of the metro. Pick the nearest date below.
